Free Cognitive Training Tools
Quartenson tools are designed for quick, practical training sessions that run directly in the browser. The current tools focus on visual scanning practice, simple response feedback, and short sessions that do not require an account.
The free Schulte table trainer supports multiple grid sizes, time and mistake tracking, pause controls, optional shuffle-on-click behavior, and keyboard shortcuts for quick sessions. It is useful when you want a short focus reset, a visual scanning exercise, or a simple way to try Schulte tables before using the dedicated mobile app.
The Visual Search Test adds a different target-finding exercise: find one target among similar distractors across ten short randomized rounds, then review median response time, accuracy, and clean results.
The Visual Memory Test asks you to remember ordered cell sequences or 3-second cell patterns and progress through levels while saving only local history and best level data.
The Peripheral Awareness Trainer uses a brief dual task: identify a centre line and report where an off-centre target appeared, then compare accuracy and timing across the same setup.
The Reaction Time Test measures a simpler one-signal response task. Wait for an unpredictable visual signal, choose 1 to 10 measured trials, and compare median, average, fastest time, response spread, and false starts on the same setup.
If you are new to the exercise, start with the beginner guide to Schulte tables before your first round.
